Everybody is supose to be free to draw what they want. But ive seen so many people complaning and even flaming other people just becase "they dont like the drawing".
Those couple fanarts for example. Some random fangirl/boy draws him or herself with some character. Nothing wrong with that, right? I mean as kids we used to pretend to be dunno, some power ranger, superhero or something..
The thing is that other fanpeople began to flame, stuff like "i dont like you with -character- ! hes mine!! you suck! learn to draw!"
Its creepy how, for some reason, take it personal, and start to bash and flame the persons whole gallery, just because of a "i dont like you drawing that!"
Thats the reason for this stamp. EVERYBODY IS FREE TO DRAW WHAT BRINGS THEM JOY (: (as long as its not some hate propaganda against others D: )
true. but... i can't draw whatever i want. because i edit myself, and criticize myself until i get into a funk like i'm in now and feel like i'm sick of art.

I strongly agree too!Somtimes I don't upload some of my fan art because I don't want to get flammed by people saying "OMG UR FANARTSUX!!!WHY DID U DRAW KITT AS A MUSTANG!WTF?!?WHYYY!!!DID U DRAW HIM NEXT TO THE REAL KITT!!!"
In case some people dont understand my stamp, ill explain my point of view a bit more Yes, everybody is free to draw what they want.
Now drawing and uploading are 2 diferent things. There are gonna be places where people have diferent opinions, likes or even rules. It can be clubs, art forums, galleries, magazines, or art sites on the internet. My stamp talks about being able to draw something for you, its not about being able to upload or show it around. Thats not important.
For example, lets say you draw something that means a lot to you, you send it to some art magazine to be published but it ends up being rejected because of the magazines rules, politics, not being good enough or something.. Just because it was deleted, removed, banned or rejected it does not mean you lost your right to draw what you want. You can still draw, so dont let the fact that someguys didnt like it stop you from doing something you like, i mean how can they?. ("Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me")
My deviation comment talks about an example of how someones artwork can be flamed just because another person does not like it. Its also the kind of things that motivated me to do the stamp.
this is so damn true what´s even more sad is when someone come and comment stupic complains about the character u´ve made for example (i hate him, her or why did u make it " i mean we´re not supposed to draw for the people we just make this becouse we like it awesome stamp once again

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
